Listings- the first of an abundance of edge happenings
Here is the first listings of people and places around East Kent involved with ‘Permaculture’ activities. I have about another 20 things to add. This list will be focused on August and September 2015 around the International Permaculture Convergence IPC. There will be a new East Kent Permaculture Group starting in August too. Deal with it- Transition Deal – Deal Seedy Saturday BEE Special- Summer Plant & Seed Swap @ Landmark Garden from 11am. This will be a special Bee themed one – we have Dover Beekeepers coming for the day with Bees, Advice and produce

Sunday 20th September – Deal with it- Transition Deal – The Great British Beach Clean
Deal Beach Clean – part of the Marine Conservation Society’s nationwide campaign. We will be logging what we find as part of the national beach survey, Deal Pier 10am
Places to visit
Windmill Community Garden, Margate- A Permaculture LAND demonstration site. Open: Tue (Volunteering Day) 10am—2pm, Thu 10am—1pm, Fri 10am—2.00pm. You can find us at the corner of Dane Valley Road and College Road, Margate. We are a community food growing project running since 2004. We have two sites which were formerly derelict land. Our community garden consists of community plots & wildlife habitats. Our market garden grows chemical free vegetables which we sell via our veg box scheme and to local restaurants. A Permaculture LAND demonstration site – Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 9am to 2pm, Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

Preparing for the International Permaculture Convergence in East Kent
Finally, we have a place to post a calendar of Permaculture edge events for East Kent around the convergence. Its a truly exciting time.
